External Sleeve Trim
Large body annulus maximizes Cv and eliminates body erosion External Sleeve and Cage control choke trims provide maximum wear resistance and are used in high erosion production and high pressure service. Flow is directed through the ports in the trim to impinge on itself in the centre of the flow cage. The externally guided flow sleeve controls the opening and rate of flow. The flow sleeve shuts off flow by making contact on a seat ring outside of the flow cage, by keeping the seat surface away from high velocity flow, the seat integrity is maintained.
